Grief Support
Holding a funeral or memorial service for your loved one is a positive first step in the grieving process. Family members and friends get a chance to say their goodbyes, and at the same time, they get to share strong feelings with one another. In the days, weeks and months following the service, people continue to need others to lean on for understanding, encouragement and guidance.
As a result, our firm has created an Aftercare & Education Program to assist people in understanding and working through the grief associated with the death of a loved one. Our program consists of:
• Individual Meetings and Educational Seminars conducted by Deacon Lesieur to emphasize the value of a funeral service and the importance of pre-arranging funerals. If you would like to schedule an appointment to meet with Deacon Lesieur individually, or if you would like to have her speak to your group, please contact us at 401.723.9792. There is no financial obligation or cost associated with Individual Meetings or Educational Seminars
• A comprehensive online grief library in coordination with the Center for Loss & Life Transition, the nation’s foremost institution of grief education
· Complementary quarterly newsletters focusing on the healthy processes of grief and support
In addition, there are many national support groups that have formed. These groups provide a common place and a comforting environment for expressing emotions through each phase of the grieving process. We also provide a link to the Center for Loss Grief Library, a helpful resource for mourners.
