Traditional Services 
A traditional funeral service is a funeral service with your loved one present. There may or may not be a visitation, depending on the preferences of the family or the wishes of the deceased. There can be a service in our funeral home or a service or Mass in a church, with a burial or cremation to follow. We can provide you and your family with options to make a traditional funeral more personalized to reflect the individuality of the life being celebrated. Cremation Services
Many people believe that cremation is an alternative to a traditional funeral, but in most regards it is not. Cremation is an alternative means to disposition of the deceased, in place of burial. With a cremation service, the family has many options to honor the life of their loved one. They can have a memorial service at our funeral home, or in a church, or other special place. They can have a visitation, either with the deceased present, or with an urn present. There can even be services either in the funeral home or church with the deceased present, with cremation to follow in place of burial. By selecting a service with cremation involved, families and friends still have the opportunity to celebrate the life of their loved one with dignity and with meaning. Personalized Services
Personalizing a service to tailor to the needs, tastes and preferences of the families we serve enables us to treat every family individually, giving them the attention and care they deserve. No two individuals or families are alike, and so by personalizing aspects of the service, we are able to enhance the uniqueness of each life to be honored. We can provide many items such as custom prayer cards and acknowledgement cards, personalized DVD memorial tributes, memorial folders to name a few. These personalization materials can be used in conjunction with both traditional or cremation services, to add to the value of the funeral service. Services for Death Out of State
Since 1921, our firm has been a member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes, the premier funeral service organization with over 1,500 independent, family-owned funeral homes worldwide. Unlike most other funeral service organizations, membership in Selected Independent Funeral Homes is by invitation only, and members are subject to the highest standards in ethical funeral service, as exemplified by the organization's Code of Good Funeral Practice. If the death of a love one were to occur outside Rhode Island and Southern New England, we can contact a funeral home in the area of the death that adheres to the same high standards and diligence we have always maintained for seven generations.
